gamefly is the coolest thing ever! essentially, it's netflix for video games. since they don't have distribution centers all over the u.s., the games from gamefly take a bit longer to arrive than the dvds from netflix, but it's not a huge deal since it takes a lot longer to play a game than to watch a movie. this service is perfect for games that you can play in a couple days (all together, that is!) and finish. it's also great for trying a game you think you might want to buy (like a multiplayer shooter, etc.) before you actually shell out big bucks for it.

for example, before i knew what i really liked i bought a racing game. it turns out that i am completely incapable of driving vehicles on video games. in fact i really should trade that game with one of my friends for something remotely approaching something that i can actually play without spraining my fingers.

i still hate jumping, but i am getting much better at it. especially after a few beers.

i'm not sure if the series creator really intended for seth to be the big star of the show all along, but it became clear pretty early on that ryan is just sort of boring and marissa is whiny and annoying. seth is funny and downright interesting. and can you really get anything better than chrismukkah?
